Artificial Grass for Dogs
Many pet owners choose artificial grass for pets because it is a low-maintenance option that is easy to care for. Unlike natural grass, artificial turf does not need to be mowed or watered, and it drains quickly, making it ideal for areas that get a lot of rain or snow. It also doesn't attract bugs or other pests, which can be a problem with natural grass. And, because it doesn't grow, there's no chance of your pet digging holes in the yard.
Artificial turf is also a good choice if you have allergies or sensitivities to grass pollen. It's also safe for pets who may eat grass. Some types of artificial turf are made with antimicrobial agents to resist mold and mildew, which can be a problem with natural grass.
If you're considering artificial turf installation for your pet, be sure to choose a product that is specifically designed for pets. Some types of artificial turf are made with drainage systems and are reinforced with stronger fibers to resist wear and tear from pet traffic. There is also different variations of infill, that can maintain cooler surface temperatures of the turf, or whatever foot traffic it will receive.
Cleaning pet turf is easy—just remove solid waste as soon as you can, hose down the area with water, and spray a solution of equal parts vinegar and water to neutralize the odor and prevent stains!

Artificial Turf Material
A quality synthetic grass installation is composed of a variety of different layers: the turf material layer itself, infill, barrier for weed protection, compacted base, and native soil, which is compacted as well.
We install from the bottom up. To prepare the ground and foundation, the native soil is compacted using heavy machinery so that it is a stable base. On top of that is a careful mixture of gravel and sand, which will allow for drainage.
On top of the compacted base gravel is the weed barrier, followed by the turf and infill. Infill is distributed evenly over the entire turf area and protects the synthetic grass by providing structural support to the blades of grass while still adding cushion. By working with a professional synthetic grass company, you can be sure that your synthetic grass area will be durable and usable for many years.
